From the first whiff, this 100% Nebbiolo reveals the clay and volcanic sand in its soil, which promptly gives way to mild spice, freshly ground white pepper and the typical raspberry and cherry of Nebbiolo from these lands. The combination of dry earthiness and rich pulp, supported by grainy tannins that deliver the kind of depth that only old vines can provide, makes this wine juicy, rich, complex. It is very good now, but has all it takes to mature into excellence with age.
