This smooth, warm and velvety Barbera is quite uniquely handsome and likeable. Forget about the almost aggressive acidity of most Barbera. Here the soil makes it smoother than in the Asti area, but it is the way in which the grapes are transformed into must by soft pressing and the must into wine by ageing in steel and oak vats and in the bottle for a total of at least 28 months that bring the best out in this wine.
Deep red tending to purple, in the glass it wins you with a broad spectrum of ripe fruit and spice, its warmth to the palate and persistence. Toasty, oaky notes of vanilla and cocoa for a beautiful, persistent finish.
