Oh, wow... I was so pleasantly surprised when opening this bottle. Fresh, youthful juiciness of young Barbera, with its lively "vivacità" (not really fizzy, but "moving"), and well-rounded peppery note make this easy to drink despite its 14.5% alcohol content. "La Birba" ("rascal") is a great, easy pleasure for everyday.
This is a high-quality entry-level Barbera and will make you want to try all the other Barbera on offer.
Lots of wild berries and red fruit, but always light and easy and with just the right acidity to never become boring - a great value proposition indeed!
