As its names suggests, the Greco grape was introduced by the Greek colonisers of southern Italy over 2500 years ago. Around the town of Tufo it has found its ideal soil, where it develops its intense aromatics. Quite unique is its combination of grapefruit and orange blossom, slightly tropical notes ending with strong herbaceous scents - some of which seem to be carried by the Mediterranean sea breeze - on a medium-light body. I suggest to enjoy it with fish and seafood pasta, baked fish and/ or grilled veggies, which is complements wonderfully.
