Oh wow, this is a beautiful, very well balanced indeed blend of Sangiovese and "Gamay del Trasimeno", a local variant of the grape known as Cannonau, Alicante, Garnacha or Grenache. It delivers both: big but not oversized structure of Sangiovese, with tannins suitable for ageing and deep red and purple fruit, and then the richness and finesse of red fruit and pepper of Grenache. The vineyards benefit of thermal excursion from the nearby lake Trasimeno.
This wine delivers on balance, elegance, body and scents, with good body and a certain opulence, but is never heavy. For exigent daily enjoyment! Superb value for money!
