The Friulano grape in one of it most traditional expressions from the wonderful I Clivi winery.
Ian D'Agata of Vinous describes it as "Pale-straw green. Reticent aromas of orchard fruit and minerals. Then similar flavours on the slightly richer, denser palate. Closes long and clean with a fresh citrus and pear skin note. This wine represents more classic, traditional (high acid and austere) example of Collio Friulano. Like all of I Clivi’s wines, this is very clean, precise and light on its feet. Well done. Made from 80 years old vines".
We would like to add that after a few years ageing in the bottles, this is developing wonderfully and becoming perfectly integrated and rounded, delivering the full spectrum of Friulano's unique character.
