An autochtonous varietial grape offers us this deep, dark red wine from the rocky Carso soils. It is quite unique, indeed.
"The dark and alluring 2018 Teran is a deep purple colour, showing masses of crushed blackberry and plum before blossoming further with loads of lavender, violets and flinty campfire smoke. It's soft in texture, contrasted by tart, black fruits, sour citrus and nervous acidity, making for a tension filled performance in the mouth. This turns quite savoury and floral through the finale, tapering off to red currents and cherry pits. I am loving the way that 2018 Teran plays with the palate, but be aware that this would be best enjoyed at the dinner table" (Eric Guido, Vinous).
