Sine Felle Passito Rosso Podere Casaccia
Sangiovese and a small percentage of Canaiolo are used for this wine. The grapes are picked at three different stages of ripeness. After crushing they remain on the skins for seven days, then are put to rest in oak barriques for 24 months.
This wine fills your nose and palate with the essence of red berries: maraschino, black cherries, raspberry and blue berry, a strong note of citrus fruit; in particular blood orange and grapefruit.
This, we found, was a good match with our “cantucci”, but better with chocolate and chocolate-based cakes. It also pairs excellently with mature cheese, and is always a great pleasure on its own!
