Product Details

This deep pink Rosé from Aglianico grapes is extremely pleasant and varied. It has a lot of fresh fruit to offer, from tiny wild strawberries with a whiff of mint to red cherry, a little pomegranate and nice fresh finish. The volcanic soil of Mount Vulture delivers nice mineral notes, which contribute to a certain complexity. A very pretty wine!

It is named after Sagaris, a freed Greek slave who was known in the town of Venosa, where the poet Horatio was born, for his winemaking skills.

The handpicked grapes are pressed and left to ferment at a temperature of 18°C for 8 days. Then the wine is left to rest in steel vats for 6 months prior to bottling.
