Who says that it's not worthwhile or possible to make great natural sparkling wines?
The Del Bono brothers of Monticelli Brusati, on the eastern edge of the famous Franciacorta region in Lombardy are doing just that: natural agriculture on very steep hills, in the best locations, selection of the best bunches, soft pressing, only native yeasts, only must of the same grapes as "sirop de tirage", 60 months resting on the lees. The outcome is spectacular!
The Cuvée 60 Extra Brut Rosé is 100% Pinot Nero and reveals all the finesse of this great red grape. Freshly crushed raspberries and wild strawberries, some grassiness, more red berries and fruit, some earthiness... a beautiful delicate pink, perfect, tiny vivid bubbles form and elegant perlage. This rivals with some much reputed Champagnes! Try to believe.
Only 6000 bottles of vintage 2017 were made, and all are individually numbered.
