Barolo is unique - nowhere else but in this limited area of 11 villages does the Nebbiolo grape express itself as uniquely. Sergio Molino, who took over his father Ernesto's estate, believes in letting nature do its course and that his job is to make the most of what nature bestows on us - so each of his wines reflects the weather conditions and ripening state of the grapes. Not too heavy, not too bold, perfectly balanced, with notes of roses and black currant, dark skin fruit, tobacco, cinammon, a little absynth, perhaps, this is a classic Barolo of the higher end of the spectrum.
